UAE braces for cloudy skies, rain chances, gusty winds and rough seas tomorrow
Rain possible in coastal, northern and eastern regions
DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather tomorrow, with a chance of rainfall across several regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
Coastal, northern and eastern areas are expected to see increased cloud cover as a weak surface low-pressure system moves in from the east, supported by a weak upper-air extension. Conditions are forecast to vary through the day, with occasional unsettled spells.
NCM said the changing weather pattern may also bring periods of active winds and rough sea conditions, particularly later in the day. Residents and marine users have been advised to remain alert to changing conditions, especially in exposed areas.
Cloud cover
Cloud formation is expected to intensify over coastal belts, northern parts of the country and eastern regions. These areas may see intermittent rainfall, although amounts are expected to vary. Inland areas are likely to remain partly cloudy, while humidity levels are forecast to rise during the night and early hours of Monday, particularly along the coast.
Wind conditions
Winds will be light to moderate for most of the day but may become active at times. According to NCM, winds will initially blow from the southeast before shifting to the northwest, with speeds ranging between 10 and 25 km/h and gusts reaching up to 40 km/h. These stronger winds could raise dust, temporarily reducing visibility in open and desert areas.
Sea conditions
Sea conditions are expected to be moderate to rough in both major bodies of water. In the Arabian Gulf, the first high tide is forecast at 16:48, followed by a second high tide at 05:47. Low tides are expected at 11:10 and 22:46. In the Sea of Oman, waves will also range from moderate to rough, with high tides at 14:36 and 01:46, and low tides at 08:16 and 19:30.
Early week outlook
Looking ahead, cloud cover is expected to persist into Monday, particularly over coastal and northern areas, with a slight chance of light rain. Temperatures may dip marginally, while rising humidity overnight could lead to fog or mist formation by early Tuesday morning in some areas.
